Is this what I think it is?

So I had a funny spot or growth on one of my BRF jars (Golden Teacher) and just to be on the safe side I opened it and planted it in a shady spot in the front flowerbed, kept the mulch wet just to see what happens. First, here is a pic of the jar:

We have been reaching temperatures of 100+ degrees but I am seeing a large amount of mycelium growth in the areas where I have kept it wet.
So is this what I think it is? And if so, is it safe to consume because of what might had been growing in the jar? I only see nice white mycelium when I pull the mulch back.

That's common green mold and it will win from the mycelium. Too bad, you're losing that jar.
Btw, this question would probably get better answers in the cultivation section, particularly the contamination subforum.

The mushroom could be an Agrycobe but there's no way to really know from that photo alone.

koraks...I already knew the jar was contaminated...that's why I buried it. I am trying to find out if it's fruited and safe to eat due to the original contamination. Ss I needed help with identification.
I will post follow up photos in the days to come on this thread.

Thanks Ran...as mentioned above I will post follow up pics as things progress. I was just surprised to see them based on the current temps. Although we did have a rain shower 2 days ago.

Sorry, I didn't read properly. I'd wait for them to mature a bit, it'll be easier to identify them.

No Problem koraks...here is a pic from this morning. The honey colored water droplet on the largest one could be from me touching them a bit yesterday. My nail caught the top and cut the cap a bit. And as you can see a 3rd little guy made his way up last night. Is it still too early to tell?

You were right...just seemed like too big of a coincidence that I planted a dirty cake there 3 days earlier...oh well, maybe something will pop up in the spring time. The good news is I have 9 more viable jars that are almost at 100% colonization.
