Ordered jalisco strain to try stones before I knew it's not best for that.anyway, got some stones.with ten quarts of half spent grain on my hands n no room to indoor I made a bed outside under tomatoes.I water about an inch a week.today I see what appear to be pins.I'm beside myself!I don't see much around here on outdoor grows besides woodlovers.anybody else had luck?should I clone these?oh, I'm in south michigan.I don't understand much yet about strain selection but isn't it possible to select for certain traits?can you say annual mushroom bed?I'd like to.I'll try a pic if they keep growing.

If I'm correct, Mexicana could keep an annual bed as in nature it feeds on decaying plant material, and not manure like cubensis. I know one poster on here a while back said how he has ATL fruits spread around his yard, and even found one 100 feet away from his original patch.

That's encouraging.they continue to grow.haven't opened up yet.doing up some grains.gonna try stem butts as well as spores.I'm super curious and wish I had more time to read about how the whole strain selection thing works.am I correct in thinking I could select for a strain that would thrive in my summer
