I was soaking a fruiting block of Horse shit/Straw on a plate with water...

Now I want to remove it. Its in a plastic tub with nothing else inside...
What should it be PLACED ONTOP OF? Id imagine it wouldn't be wise to then place it directly onto the plastic?
Im going to the Grow Supply Store soon to get perlite. Would I place it on the Perlite? Or on a piece of tinfoil on the Perlite?
Someone please breifly explain what I should do and why, im struggling to understand this specific concept.
THANKS ALOT

Just leave it soaking until you get a SGFC set up properly. Just drop it in there when you're ready to fruit it.

I wouldn't leave a cake soaking longer than 24 hrs... though I have in the past without problems.
I've heard it can waterlog the cake.

Well you can put it anywhere where the conditions to fruit are right. Could be a gaff, Martha fruiting chamber, or any other fruiting chamber. Usually it's recommended to place the block on a surface, like maybe some plastic because I've read of mycellium eating through foil.

You can soak for 2 days or so, but I would change the water out and rinse them daily to avoid bacterial accumulation. If it's fully colonized, you could just put it in your SGFC without any perlite and just mist it 4 or 5 times a day until you get the perlite in there. Many different ways to attack this one
