Trim the foil. You just want it barely big enough to not let the mycelium touch the perlite. The foil is probably blocking lots of fae coming up from the perlite

It's about all I can think of without seeing pics of your setup . You should post pics of the chamber though. Inside and outside

Maybe less misting? Your cakes look 1/4 pint.

Also, make sure the sides of your SGFC are at least 3 inches away from the walls, and the ground for proper FAE. Judging by the top of your SGFC that has no line of holes maybe you neeed more!

Yeah I can see the cottage cheese look too. However fae would really keep it at bay. They haven't even had a flush yet. So I bet if op upped fae a bunch, by poking any blocked bottom holes with a pen, moving it to the center of the room, and elevating it more than 6 inches off the ground, he should be able to see something.

How big are those holes, and how far apart? Use a ruler. They just look too small or too far apart Imo

They say a proper sgfc doesn't have any condensation because there's so much fae, it will stay the same temperature as the rest of the room.

No wonder lol. If anything I'd have done 5/16 over 3/16, and just misted more to compensate. That's how important fae with proper misting is. Here's an epic thread showing what PROPER misting with the most fae you'd ever have does: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21288129. But 1/4 is the best.
