Hi, I'm having a total brain fart moment. I used to buy peroxide at 35% solution, now it appears that's no longer legal (UK) and the maximum strength easily available is 12% To get a 3% solution from 35% I used to make up 1 part peroxide with 10 parts water to get 3%. To get 3% from a 12% solution I work it out as 1 part peroxide to 3 parts water, is this right?
Thanks to those with working brains,
Bobbo.

how are you using peroxide? Mixing it in the substrate or just for spraying to keep contams down? If you check out this vid (hope its ok to post vids here) You'll see he uses peroxide in his substrate.
RR and others have said the "peroxide method" is no good. So I'd love to hear more from ppl about it since I'm growing outdoors in a greenhouse and its very high contam potential from airborn stuff.

Hi, I just use it for generally keeping things clean I haven't used it on substrate. If it's any help I tried it on wheatgrass to keep down the mold that can grow on the grain and it made no difference whatsoever!

haha thanks ya according to R. Rush Wayne, Ph.D. who wrote the peroxide method it doesn't work on some grasses and stuff because of peroxide decomposing enzymes. that and the video I linked earlier are pretty much everything I know about the "peroxide method"....that and some vets here warning to stay away!

C1V1=C2V2
100ml * 12% = Xml * 3% x=400
400-100= add 300ml water to 12% to yield 400ml of 3%

Thanks so much, never heard of C1V1=C2V2 before. This is going to be really useful.
Thanks,
Bobbo.
