No it doesn't! Eat the baby that looks like a giraffe horn. I would suggest you NOT cook it however or it WILL be gross. These taste identical to its smell, which to me is identical to raw cucumber. Dryad is great in a salad in place of cucumber slivers.

young dryads can be quite good; it depends on the way you prepare them.

sautee in a butter and oil mix.  then at the last 60 seconds of cooking, add a generous amount of fresh dill and lime juice.  serve as a side with jamaican jerk chicken.

seriously.

alternative: pickled dryads (blanched first).  fucking yum: use a recipe for 'kickles' aka pickles with a kick (spicy).
