controlling moisture while fruiting pf cakes
    #22087845 - 08/13/15 03:40 PM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Hello fellow cultivators
I am new to this hobby but have been doing a ton of research over the past few months. One of the things that I find challenging is knowing when and how much I should mist my cakes. I have been doing alot of pf cakes and I have noticed that it seems like to get great yields and healthy fruits controlling surface humidity and water content are critical. It seems like as long as I can keep the surface humidity up and create just enough evaporation to trigger pinning that is when I get my best results. I have come to realize that the conditions in the fruiting chamber are not as important as controlling the evaporation and surface moisture of the cakes. I was just wondering what some of the more experienced growers think about this and if you have any input or advice for me.

Thanks for the link. I noticed that it said you sterilized the coir. Do you always sterilize  your coir? Do you feel like it has advantages vs pasteurizing
