I've read somewhere that weed doesn't really smell until drying/curing. Until then it smells like fresh cut grass or something.

zombi3 is correct.
OP-no need to do anything like move the plant or put lights on it. you have at least a month of flowering left probably. look closely to make sure you don't see male flowers hiding in tight to the stem. they look like tiny bunches of bananas kinda. Its not uncommon for bag seeds to be the result of hermaphrodite plants, so if you see male flowers, clip em off before they open, to mitigate the damage.
and the holes in those leaves are from bugs. caterpillers or grasshoppers probably.

Slugs maybe too. Outdoors you often see slugs on the leaves.

You're kinda like me man in a senses you have had a love hate relationship with the plant. honestly fuck weed . It use took make everything better now it gives me anxiety. Might be cause I smoke sativa more now so then when I blazed indica's which made me lazy and a good fucking cook. Sativa makes me wanna do shit if I don't do shot high on sativa I get anxious really bad. To the point I called up a friend and told her my whole life story just to relieve myself of anxiety.
weed is wack now I have a weeed stash that's lasted me 2 weeks now . And I started off with just 2.3 grams of blue dream and a concentrate of sour jack crumble.
weed is lime a once a month thing now I think cause that everyday smoking is bad for the lungs . I don't vape

Legit buds, looks like a pure indica, wait for those hairs to get yellowis-amberish, cut and dry, also cloning would be nice, who knows what kind of genetics rest in it

it doesn't look like any kind of indica. look at those leaves. its a Sativa or sativa dominant hybrid. its just short from vegging in the shade

With those seemingly sativa genetics id say that plant has at least 8 more weeks of flower time, maybe longer depending if you run into problems.
Don't chop her early! Will be your biggest regret.

It appears some heavy snail has broken of a branch of the plant. It was crawling up when I arrived at the scene.
Damn what do I do. Can I try to save the branch by tying it to the stem with a thread? Or should I call it early harvest?

I would suggest waiting for it to bud on its own, the way Mother Nature intended. You'll be smoking some righteous cheeba there, brother.

Splint that branch with a popsicle stick and some tape. You caught it early enough that it should graph back onto the plant! If it doesn't you have a sneak preview of your bud, albiet its is so premature you'll only end up with a headache from it.
Also if you have any rooting powder/plant growth hormone use that before you splint it on the break, should help accelerate the recovery.
