Please help beginner -- identify contamination
    #22084294 - 08/13/15 01:04 AM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Please help me identify this contamination! I don't want to repeat the same mistake again. All my other jars turned out wonderfully -- this one, obviously, did not.

I was told once pink is deadly. I don't know if that's true but be careful tossing those.

Alright then, picture this if you will:
10 to 2 AM, X, Yogi DMT, and a box of Krispy Kremes, in my "need to know" post, just outside of Area 51.
Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thing with just a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this.
Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping...
Holy fucking shit!

It's like half true. Generally speaking pink has mycotoxins. It can be fatal if you have a weakened immune system (like cancer, or aids) but for the every day Joe, it should be fine. Obviously being careful with every contam is a good idea. But you don't need to be scared you'll die with every contam. If you were going to die, you'd have a long time ago. Here's a list of molds with mycotoxins, and what mycotoxin.

BTW trich, aspergillus, and penicillium can be found on it. The 3 most common green molds.

@OP toss them out. Imo you have fusarium, and aspergillus Niger.
