Hey guys,

This is our Brugmansia

Now this is a store bought plant. It has everything but seed pods. Can I expect it to be pollinated by some moth or something or should I get a second plant for that to happen?

I do have multiple plants, clones form my mother plant, but I have grown all different kinds of Brugmansia before this one I have now, and none have ever made any seed.

So went on google and found this link:

<SNIP> Mod edit: No non sponsor links are allowed

Mine is Arborea if I'm not mistaken and it's supposed to be the only Brugmansia that can self pollenate or something so I just tried it with a swab. It's nighttime here now so thats supposed to be right.

Now we'll wait and see. If not I'll swab more flowers from other brugs.

Need. Those. Seeds.

This plant is store bought and therefore not energetically mine. Guess if I can get seeds from it and succesfully groe those out it'll be my plant(s)

Or something

Tweeq, should be interesting.
Let us know how it turns out.
I have been growing various Brugmansia sp. for years, and I have never gotten viable seed.

Ok. Interesting. Didn't know this about them not producing seeds readily. Just thought it was a case of bad luck or something.

If anything changes I'll update with pics

Yea I had white moths lay larvae all over mine one year.  They do best in a grow room.  Super soil and 1k lamps and they thrive.
