cools plants. anyone ever notice that the variegated xcandida are a little more finicky than other types? mine grown next to a few species (in ground) always died back and seemed far more sensitive, i am guessing to lack of water, than others.
also as an aside, 2 days ago i did a large harvest of brugs leaves and flwoers for someone. i have felt their effects from previous harvests, but htis last time was cool to see. while breaking stems i just a few splashes of brugs stem juice in my eye. begin late at night and super tired i didnt rinse and carried on to try and finish. even now that eye is blurred vision and the pupil; dilated like mad. i look like a late night comedy central sketch.. that shit really is a crazy eye tonic of sorts....

it's used by opticians to dilate your pupil (well it's scopolamine which is used I believe)... will be back to normal soon !

Hah I had a feeling. I was actually gonna google that this morning, but never got the chance.
The other night I might have accidentally dosed myself. I will never give any to people for consumption nor will I consume any for myself. I'm worried about the unknown levels of atropine. Dead people are no fun at a party.
The other night I was pretty drunk. I had trimmed some mj plants and taken lots of leaves off the brug a week before and I hadn't cleaned any of the scissor hash off. Well in my drunkenness I had apparently spotted the resinated scissors and decided to smoke the hash.... Not thinking of all the juices that had collected, and that could possibly be active and mixed in with the hash.
Not sure if I was blacked out drunk till 6 am cleaning, doing projects, making aerated compost teas out in the shed all kinds of shit. No recollection. I woke up around 2-3 in the afternoon hungover and startd noticing things I had done. Later that night I spotted the scissors and some memory of smoking the scissors came back. Not all of the night. Maybe I was just drunk idk.
I would never intentionally dose myself or anyone else but when I'm drunk shit seems to happen.

you were certainly just drunk... you'd need more plant material to get high... my experience with solanaceae were kinda what you describe, usually fall asleep after driking the tea/eating seeds and afterward tripping strangely (real hallucinations, every senses are mobilized, vision, touch, smell, etc... but you don't realize it in live and direct, you really think what you see is happening, well...) and usually not recollecting what happened next day. Heard smoking leaves is far more manageable

Oh look, question answered, it is a brug.
I love the trimming you've done on it. It's a very pretty plant.

that is gorgeous!
I just aquired my first brugmansia today after a great deal of coveting. I came across an ad on kijiji from someone looking for unwanted cactus/succulents amd happen to notice a brug in one of their photos. I messaged to ask and they were kind enough to give me a cutting. Well actually six.

Brugmansia; Double white Double peach Single peach Single pink Single yellow And Blue Iocroma (not a true brug)
I am very excited

I ate some jimson seeds ONE time when I was 20 something. A large spoonful, what a mistake. Tripped 3 days straight, totally gone, baby sitter needed and to the ER. Hallucinations the whole time. Lizards, snakes, bugs, bug-like things and people that were not there having conversations with them. So don't eat any of the seeds of nightshade or you will be sorry. btw I could have died from the dose I took.

theres a cool mini documetnray on the "scariest drug" scop. on vice. its on youtube. scary stuff. but with things liek this, or like in wade davis's book the raibow serpent, i think a lot of the whole "zombie" deal has to do with culture. i would be very interested to see if atheist/agnostic type personalities that are not easily tricked will also have the same effects of temporary brainwashing?

Cool, they made a movie out of the book? Wasn't my favorite book by Davis, but it was a good one! I wish they would make One River into a movie!
