If so, how?

How about this? I won't divulge my personal tax info and you go ahead and send the govt 90% of YOUR income... Deal?

don't use your personal tax info as a talking point then.

I didn't, I said I was tired of paying over 50% in taxes, you asked for specifics,

Well unless you specify how you're paying an effective tax rate that's double the average American household, I'm not gonna believe you, and neither should anybody else.

You should move to the Liberal bastion that is Washington state. No state income tax ;-)

No wait... please don't.

So why is that statement a reason not to vote for Bernie?

Because he's convinced that Fidel Castro was the worst person in the world. I think Castro meant well, and he had the integrity to get down and dirty and work with everyone else, which is something I can't see any president doing, except maybe Bernie. Castro believed in Communism.

Cuba is on the right path nowadays, I believe.

Not that I'm defending Cuba, Castro, Socialism or Communism, but the poverty levels in places like the Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic and other Caribbean Islands are not exactly shining examples of what free market capitalism can do in places where natural resources are relatively scarce and slavery is a significant aspect of their history.

In terms of literacy, health care, infant mortality rates and access to education, Cuba rates quite a bit higher than these other nations.

Exactly.  And that's with a hurtful US embargo imposed on their country since 1962.

What Castro did not do, whether you agree or disagree with him, is allow foreign corporations to come in, strip the country's resources in exchange for low paying jobs while setting up magnet resorts to draw tourists only to have those profits sent off island so they don't have the maximum impact on the local economy.

In other words, he rejected globalism.  He's not saint, to be sure ... and made many, many mistakes ... But what he DIDN'T do is steal all the resources of his nation for himself and essentially high tail it out of town when the corruption got out of control.

I am not 'defending Cuba and Castro', necessarily. I think there was some level of nobility in Castro and Guevara's cause. There was a lot of brutality and conflict, but at the end of the day, the Cuban people stood with Castro against America, and the Bay of Pigs was a demonstration of that.

Castro was, in many respects, a great man. He was a revolutionary idealist who stuck by his ideals. He worked in the fields right along with everyone else, even when he was the dictator.

The point is, I don't just write ideas, people, countries, etc off because I am told to. I want to understand what happened and why.

Cuba is on the rise nowadays, and they still embrace Socialism.

I find this very hard to believe.  Also, most polls have Trump at 25% and Carson at 22%, most people don't even know who the fuck Ben Carson is today.

The MSM is doing everything in their power to discredit both Sanders and Trump. If they are both around in 6 months, I'm sure they will resort to more dramatic measures.

They're fine with Trump making an ass of himself, but that also means they need the establishment Democrat to succeed, which means they're going to ignore/slander Sanders at every turn.

Not only that, but Carson is in second, and I believe Fiorina behind him. None of these people are establishment politicians. Not members of the political establishment anyway. I see them all as establishment supporters, because they've all benefited from the status quo, but that's just my take.

Republicans will not nominate a mainstream status quo politician this election. We will see if the Democratic voters are willing to do the same for our country.

If Hillary actually gets the nomination, I will be disgusted. Absolutely disgusted. However, Hillary supporters are the least informed people. They are not active political junkies. They are probably less likely vote in the primaries. Bernie Supporters will be at the voting booth.

If Hillary wins the general election, I think people will go fuckin ape shit in this country. I hope so.

Exactly.  Like the "Dean scream"

No one in the audience even noticed it, and it certainly wasn't a big deal.  But the MSM just kept playing the edited version (without the crowd noise).

I don't get the whole 'Howard Dean Scream' thing. I guess it must be because I was a kid when he was running. I had never heard of him til you guys brought him up on here.
