They have the old guy demographic because all 3 leading Democratic candidates are... old.
That's the problem with self imagined edgy comments. They often come back and leave the commenters looking hypocritical and foolish.

Perhaps you don't recall the liberals/dems/media going on about old white republicans.
Perhaps you yourself didn't, but plenty did.
Pro tip... if the republicans have done it, so have the dems... and vise versa.

New Reuters poll has Bernie up 12 points in Oregon.
That makes three states where Sanders leads Clinton by double digits: New Hampshire, Iowa, amd now Oregon.

Wow.
I find it ironic to use a giant Walmart logo nodding in approval of Bernie Sanders' success, but it works!

Why vote for Bernie? Want to pay more taxes?
Socialism runs on more taxes from everyone, not just from the wealthy.
Come to thing of it, why vote for Socialism at all?
Just curious...

if disenfranchised people feel that they will achieve a better standard of living through socialism, they will vote for it. if not, they won't. its pretty simple stuff

That's a keyword though: "Feel" may not be reality. Socialism has problems like Capitalism. I would much rather have Capitalism problems than Socialism problems. Capitalism problems are like "What toilet paper do I buy with all of my money?" Socialism problems are like "I'm getting a handout, but I can only afford the worst shit?"

Socialism doesn't equal more taxes. Socialism is the workers controlling the means of production. It's about having a democratic say in something other than politics, namely your work. The thing we all spend the most time doing.
There's many ways of making a more socialist society. One of these is labor unions, another is worker coops.
Socialism in this country ended child labor, brought us the weekend and the forty hour work week, and many other great things. Google Labor Movement + Great Depression.
Electing Bernie is just one step towards Socialism. It's us shouting at the bosses enough is enough. But that alone isn't enough. We still have to organize and support him. He can't create a labor movement on his own though he does have some concrete ideas on how we can become a more fair and socialist society.
http://www.sanders.senate.gov/agenda/
Yes, socialist societies do tend to pay higher taxes, they also tend to make a lot more money and have much better social systems. This is by democratic choice. Not because of the economic system in place. I think there's certainly a strong correlation between the two, namely that people who live in more egalitarian societies are more likely to take better care of each other and not mind paying higher taxes to do so. But at best it's a side effect of socialism and not socialism itself.

I suggest you suspend using your account until you've attained at least a rudimentary understanding of socialism.
Saying socialism is just handouts and free stuff is like saying capitalism is The Hunger Games. Grossly inaccurate and oversimplified.

Who said Socialism is just free stuff?
Socialism is also high taxes, welfare, big government in your business, fines, fees, bureaucratic red tape on everything including economic growth. The list goes on.
Gotta love your personal attacks on me, maybe you should read the forum rules.
