So, I'm listening to a Joe Rogan standup from 2005, and I run across this little clip. It fit Trump's run for office so perfectly fucking well, that I had to post it.

The last 60 seconds are eerily predictive of Trump's strategy for Iraq and not far from how his supporters are reacting to him. Trump = America's new pillage candidate

I know, and I love his points about Bush too! lol
Like the powers that be just put him out there to see exactly how stupid America was. Would they let this jackoff with a >90 IQ run the country because his daddy did 4 years? Oh! They sure would! And they re-elected them.
Then one guy in the back says 'I think we can go dumber', and low and behold, Trump hits the scene with a furry! Talking like a belligerent fuckin asshole and saying 'We're gonna go in and take their fuckin oil, bitchez!'...
Joe Rogan is has some Nostradamus blood flowin, or maybe he's part maiyan... or one of those shits.

I'm not sure I'd say Trump is dumb. Obviously, he has some smarts to have accomplished what he has in life, even with the nice head start his dad gave him. No arguing with the fact that he built some pretty iconic brands over the years. He's clearly got some executive chops and knows how to pick and manage good people.
It's just that his political marketing style is so radically different from anything I've ever seen and it's utterly unrehearsed so much of it comes off as idiotic but, in fact, there's a raw attraction to it because it's so unscripted. He has a natural and accurate understanding of what people want from him and he's delivering it. Whether or not he can broaden his support is a real question mark. I don't think he can but then again, I thought he would have flamed out by now. He's a political enigma.

I don't think he's dumb, but I do think electing him would be on par with or dumber than electing Bush. The last part of the video hit the nail on the head regardless lmao!
Think about going into Iraq yet again, for the sole purpose of stealing their oil. It doesn't even make any sense! These wars are costing us trillions!
Think about what 'rebuilding' our military actually means?
I dunno... that clip is gold to me lmao!

Obama is a pretty smart guy, that's why the put him into power. They knew he was smart enough to never double cross them.
If you listen to Obama today, he talks like he's an ex-President, too funny.

I think Obama is/was smart but lacked executive skills and experience and it took him a long time to figure out how to get into executive mode.
His default is to see everything through a political lens and I think that has really hurt his effectiveness. He plays it safe way to often and has been very ineffective in a number of areas he campaigned on. He has also pushed forward the disease of more and more money in politics.

I listen to one of his speeches the other day, he calls out money influencing his political "opponents", but the reality is he's also bought and paid for as well , yet nobody calls him out for it.
The funny thing is, no one is the media can really talk about money in politics, hell even Rush blames liberalism for the reason why Democrats make the decisions they do, when in fact it's always about the money.

"His default is to see everything through a political lens and I think that has really hurt his effectiveness." == he is an ideologue, which is exactly what many hated conservative talk show hosts have been saying.
" He has also pushed forward the disease of more and more money in politics." == he is a big government crony capitalist, state capitalist, statist, fascist, or whatever that pile of turds called democrats and republicans that have ruled the US in washington for the last 50 years are called.

I've seen a lot of people criticize Sanders for his stance on gun control. Well, back in July, Politifact posted an article containing all of Senator Sanders' votes on Senate bills regarding gun issues, and whether those bills were passed by a majority.
Here's a table of that:

He'll take more votes from Hillary than from Bernie, IMHO. Biden is much closer to Hillary politically than he is to Bernie. Bernie is an anti establishment insurgent candidate and Biden and Hillary are ultimate establishment candidates. As such, he'll benefit.

I think you're right, the DNC probably has an army of pollsters trying to figure that one out, which is why Biden is still on the bench.

I agree that what you say sounds intuitive, but if you look at that Iowa poll, it seems Biden draws from Sanders and Clinton supporters about equally, which is interesting to me and I'm trying to figure out why.

its funny to me that anyone gives 2 shits about iowa. Iowa is far from representative of the population of the U.S., and they don't even have real elections for Christ' sake. The whole premise of a caucus is so far removed from a free election, that i still have a hard time believing that people still vote that way in backwards hillbilly states like iowa.

Biden hasn't even announced. The polls out right now aren't telling us much. Hillary's support is soft ... Bernie's isn't. When he announces he'll get a good 5-10 point pop. I'll bet at least 3/4 of that comes from Clinton.

Agree 100%. And look who has won in recent years??? Huckabee ... Santorum ...
It's a rural state that cares more about ethanol subsidies and Jesus than any other issues. Cracks me up they're swinging toward Trump.
