They have been knocking trump since he started and you ate it up. You are the one without the slightest clue.

Stonehenge doesn't get it in the slightest. The media will always try to stifle the candidate who is for the people. They will turn Trump into a superstar.
Stonehenge doesn't take you seriously unless you call Obama "Obumble" ... that's his code word for proving you are not a card carrying Obama lover.

Coverage is key. The media ignores people who challenge the status quo (Think Ron Paul). They've been covering Trumo non-stop, and he's received a lot of benefit from that.
I literally just saw an interview about the Hillary emails, where he lady said,"If Hillary gets knocked out of the race, then who will run for the Democrats? They don't have a single alternative? Maybe Biden will have to run"... not even mentioning Bernie, and acting like he doesnt exist. That's how the media handles candidates that stand for real change.

The idea of reducing corporate money in politics terrifies the corporate media.

Trump got covered because they had no choice. He plays them like a fiddle, they knock him relentlessly but they cover him because if they didn't, some other outlet would and the public would want to know why it was censored.
>I literally just saw an interview about the Hillary emails, where he lady said...
Woopie, one interview, one bitch's opinion. Every story I read about the don they say he has no chance. Better than no publicity, maybe. Bernie has been covered a lot, don't kid yourself so much and the coverage has been positive.

Trump has gotten more coverage by far than any candidate. The media loves Trump. You're the one kidding yourself if you think otherwise. They may be playing some narrative of not liking him or w/e, but its all horse shit. They certainly do have a choice whether or not to cover him. They have a choice eith him, as they had with Paul, and they have now with Bernie.
They haven't been covering Bernie almost at all, and they even openly admit it every time they do cover him.

So if there were more stories on sanders but they were all negative you would be happy? I doubt it. Trump is a master of publicity and will always get some. Bernie is still learning.

Seriously, you have no idea what Bernie is all about if you think he and Trump are similar. He would be for big Wall Street reforms, strengthening Dodd Frank, much higher taxes on the wealthy, elimination of corporate welfare. He would be for strengthening the social safety net on every level whereas Trump would want to, in typical GOP fashion, eliminate it. Bernie will not be trying to deport 11 million latinos.
Trade is not the #1 thing on his list, just one of many. They are miles apart.
Reversing the trade agreements naturally fixes most of those issues, it automatically reforms Wall Street, it takes the money out of the corporations, it takes money away from the wealthy, it eliminates the need for more safety nets.

Changing trade policies will have the immediate impact of generating a lot of price increases and likely inflation which will cause tightening of the money supply in the short term and probably some type of recession.
Not saying we shouldn't do it, because we should, but the short term pain will be severe and could last until we see some real commitment to American based manufacturing which, might not happen the way you think it should.
It took years for companies to put down roots in foreign labor markets and it will take years to establish them here and given the changing political climate every 4 years, companies will be very cautious about making a commitment and building new plants here in the US.
Your rosy outlook around trade deal changes is very, very optimistic. I see no evidence at all that changing the trade deals will have improve things on the short term.

Putting people back to work with a livable wage and slashing those huge profit margins is the key. Yes, the short term logistics of returning manufacturing back in the US would entail some pain, but what option would they have?

Agreed. People, however, have minimal tolerance for short term pain and our political cycle exploits this. We'd need some kind of big infrastructure plan to coincide with this and pick up the slack while American companies slowly bring manufacturing back.
And, of course, we'd have to see what kind of unintended consequences we'd get as a result of opening up a major global trade war. We might face the same tariffs on our products going the other way.

We run a $500 billion trade deficit per year, bring on the trade war!! How about we have a $0 trade balance per year or god forbid a trade surplus.

A lot of that comes from energy imports which is one area some new policy could really really change. Keep in mind, most of the purpose of NAFTA had to do with securing Mexico and Canada as our primary energy partners.

Yes it does. It's hard to compete with the cheap producers. I think US producers are finding that out today.

I would like to see congress pass some real draconian regs. Shit like "oh, you wanna sell your product in the U.S.? better produce at least 50% of that product IN the U.S.; otherwise, sell that shit to indians and chinese." or "oh, you funneled all your profits to an offshore holding company in the bahamas? No problem, just pay 2/3 of it to Uncle Sam in a repatriation tax. Don't want to? Fuck you then. spend it in the bahamas."

Yep, then big business will hold the economy hostage and have their shills in government crying about the sky falling.
