Mixing IBA in water to stimulate root growth for cacti

Someone mentioned this trick for Cannabis cultivation in hydroponics, where they mixed in IBA (rooting hormone we use for cuttings) in with the water solution to stimulste more roots.
Would this work with cacti? Like one that was recently repotted and has lots of room to root out? In theory, I would think that if you did this at the start of growing season before hitting the nutrients/fertilisers later on it could lead to better growth?
Oh it has to be K-IBA to be water soluble. Like this stuff. http://phytotechlab.com/index.php/indole-3-butyric-acid-k-iba.html
Thoughts?

if you have willow trees near you make willow water. sure it will be fine.
fresh no more than year old branches are used and cut to 1 inch pieces( say 20-30) and soaked in hot water(say 1 liter) and left for 24 hrs is good enough.
can be diluted to strength, for vigours plant 50/50 with water and more delicate plants half that ect. use as a soil drench
but stength will vary with different sources of willow. so needs testing and use accordingly. may store for a while too.
it contains root stimulators. namely indole butyric acid and salicilic acid works for any plant really well so cacti should too
i use a single dose of coconut water and water (50/50 mix) after the roots appear as it contains everything they need for this stage including vitamins, sugars, hormones like giberellin and organic growth promoters and stimulators. think about it coconut water is the energy package of a seed it is natures design for exactly this process neatly packaged for use to use. and you can get it in supermarkets , but use water not milk or cream coconut.
im not sure if cacti would like it but might be worth a try. its truly great stuff if applied at the right time.

The coconut water thing sounds neat. But are there any other things in coco water that cacti might not like? Will have to look this up, sounds interesting.

I have never tried willo, to stimulate growth, but willow is a great tree to have in a medicinal garden anyway.
willow is a wonderful plant, no matter how you look at it. it contains nature's natural source of (Aspirin) too. (acetylsalicylic acid). The inner bark of the tree, makes a good tea, for a headache.
