Help identifying Washington Mushrooms
    #22078694 - 08/11/15 09:21 PM (8 years, 5 months ago)

I found these mushrooms in a pile of bark in the woods in washington. It's been hot and humidity here, 80s to 90s. The mushrooms have massive purpleish red all over them. They have gills and have dark brown spots on the cap. The mushrooms are pretty dark cause I picked em a little late and they got burnt by the son. Are these mushrooms that have psilocybin in them and are they edible?

They might be a Leucoagaricus species, but I could be way off. They definitely aren't a psilocybin mushroom. If they are an edible species, they have aged beyond the point where you'd want to consume them.
