What happens if you place the cakes into fruiting chamber when they are not fully colonized?
I put my cakes into birth when it was about 75-85% colonized. I noticed some jars stopped colonizing after a few weeks so I decided to fruit those jars. I didn't see any contamination.I have admit though, I got a little too excited and dunked a few jars as well as setting up the SGFC while waiting 24 hours. Weird thing is the early cakes I put in the FC are pinning after misting and fanning after 3 days since I birthed them. Any ideas?

I think contamination is much more of a possibility due to the exposed nutrition rich substrate.
Ive spawned bulk with barely colonized Pf cakes but never put straight into fruiting.
I'm no TC but this is my guess and experience.

Dammit,
How did it turn out after spawning bulk with barely colonized PF cakes?

When you take a cake out of the jar before it's fully colonized it's no where near as capable of fighting off contaminates. Odds are you will get 1 flush or so before those cakes contam (if that). This hobby is really one of patience man. You can't rush things otherwise you risk making a cake go from 7 flush potential down to 1 (or possibly fucking up your chance of even getting a flush). The extra couple weeks would of been worth the higher flush potential, but lesson learned I'm sure. Long story short you should still get a harvest, but your odds of contamination are greatly increased since the cakes weren't done colonizing.

If your cakes are pinning, then you're doing something right, so no need to worry about contams. Good job

I hate waiting, but I guess you're right. Lesson learned, I'll be more patient the next grow.

If its pinning and not going green then you're doing something right for sure..

Don't try to grow lophs then. I started mushrooms after cacti.
