so a couple of days ago i looked in the mirror and noticed i had like a very dim yellowish tint in my eyes. this worried me because ive heard such signs are known to occur when there are issues with ur liver.. and me being a like a regular alcohol drinker it concerned me even more.
im not really a hard drinker or anything, but i have been doing it for many years now so idk..
i was wondering if anyone here has had any similar issues and im wondering whether i should get myself checked asap or what..
i am really worried about this and i'd would really appreciate any help.

If it's possible to do so, I would have some blood work done just to be safe.

Bilirubin is a waste product that occurs with the breakdown of hemoglobin. When it is not eliminated properly, it accumulates in tissues, turning them the yellow colour that's characteristic of jaundice. The sclera (whites of the eyes) are affected first, and as bilirubin accumulates it also affects the skin. Bilirubin elimination proceeds through the liver and bile ducts, and its accumulation typically indicates a problem with one or both. It can also indicate a blood or immune disorder accelerating the destruction of red blood cells, causing bilirubin to accumulate faster than otherwise healthy organs can clear it.
A liver problem of some kind is almost always the culprit. Gallstones and pancreatitis are also common causes, but typically begin with sharp abdominal pain as opposed to jaundice. In any case, investigating this with a physician is a high priority, most especially if your skin also begins to yellow. If there is a problem with your liver, treating it early is vitally important. I'd rather be offering reassurance, but you really should have it checked out ASAP.

jaundice=liver failure. bile acids are going into your blood stream. Have your liver enzymes checked ASAP.

specifically ALT, AST, & alkaline phosphatase. Ask they check your B.U.N, creatinine, and they should do a platelet count or hematocrit.

dont worry yet, it could be an acute condition. I dont know how old you are or your lifestyle but thats probably the case. If its chronic then you have something to worry about. I doubt it though. Seems like you're normal otherwise since you're not complaining about lethergy and persistant vomiting and discomfort. You can palpate your liver, its right underneath your ribcage on the right side I believe. Breathe out and slip your fingers underneath your ribs and feel if its tender. If you're overweight and especially if you drink alcohol you could have fatty liver disease. Also if you were overweight and lost a bunch in a short amount of time.
Make an apt tomorrow. Follow up here.
