from spores yea you can always make a Lc which is basically a jar of already germinated spores

Risky, give it two weeks before you start worrying. It can take up to a month. I am sure that you have read 3-5 days. People like to brag about germination times. But then the noobs read it and start freaking out if they can't see growth. It's probably growing but you don't see it. Leave the jars alone. Don't be tilting them sideways or upside down. Pick one jar, and that can be the jar you look at each day. Leave the rest alone

I've done the BRF tek quite a few times, and always see growth within the first week with multispore innoc; albeit, it's not very much, but a tiny spot is there at the least. Any more TC's wanna chime in? After 30 days, I would've just tossed them...

on the 4th i had one jar that started and by the 8th i had 9 jars with germination . one jar aint doing anything but might be from less spores as my syringe was quite globby and was hard to agititate properly.

In reality spores usually take 5-15 days its rare that it's less than. 5 or more than 2 weeks in my experience.

The only time I get germination in less than 4 is when the print is super fresh. As in I made it myself 3 days ago.

I hear you there. I have seen germination in less than 24 hours on agar. I couldn't actually see white growth. Although when holding the petri up to a light I could see a whispy haze where the spores were swiped. But I didn't see white mycelium for 4 days

its a great sight to see that cotton to show. just a waiting game after that. does everyone mostly incubate in the dark, i usually do a dark/ambient light mix. since evaporation is the main pin trigger i am not worried about early pinning , whats your take on that.

I neither incubate nor make any effort to colonize in the dark. They get the same temp and the same light as the room they are in. Some people believe that an ambient light cycle aids in establishing the circadian rhythm.

Colonization happens very close to fruiting so it just gets whatever light comes off of that. It's best for it to be on the same schedule as your fruiting area if anything.

this my third transfer if you count taking the pin from the contaminated jar and putting it on agar. I started this on the 4th.

I just wanted to show what I got out of my dirty old syringe with agar. the plate I took this transfer from I cut up and have some pint jars colonizing. I did a tiger drop with a pasty plate and have a quart going for a master jar.. The possibilities are endless.

I Knocked up my wbs jars the first of this month and had to shake them yesterday. Keep in mind WHERE your shooting your syringe, I shoot spores and LC on the side so i can see the growth immediately. Oh and I saw growth in about a week,
best of luck buddy!

I just checked somethings I had going and my one jar I did on the third is completely ready. I did an agar to grain. I'm pretty happy, had a hard time getting this one strain to grow some balls.
