Liberty Cap field (How can I give the field a gift?)

Hey,
There's a field I know of, and last year produced so many Liberty Caps, and I'm very thankful to the field and the mushrooms. There's a couple more coming up at them moment.
I wish to give the filed some gift, example: someone put weed killer along the wall killing some grass of the field, all along a line, what if I brought up some organic compost and gave it to the field... why?: because of the bacteria in the organic compost....
it may sound weird, but that's the way it is..
any ideas?
thanks.

Just picking and spreading spores by walking is helping the field out a lot, you could give it some extra water i suppose in dryer spots (not too much though), plants and fungi love the right amount of water ^^

With each containing one of the following: Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk? Didn't think so. This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.

Only pick the best looking mushrooms and leave the rest to complete their life cycle, although some might say completion of the life cycle is human ingestion!
I like to go for a long walk after hitting the best patches so i'm spreading spores far & wide... also just saying a deep heartfelt thankyou is nice too
I like the thinking, hopefully some more ideas get shared to improve sustainability.

Take the black spore/cap crumbs left over in your stash bags, mix with a few gallons of water and spread on good looking habitats during a wet week in the spring. I've had success spreading liberty caps this way.

Wow! This is the first time i've heard of it actually working, so you put spores around a field where zero liberty caps grew and then they appeared in later seasons? How long did it take for them to appear after seeding the field?
Id've thought the best time to seed the field would be in autumn when they natuirally drop spores, so this is good information to know, thanks

There was no liberty caps there the previous years, but I felt it was the perfect habitat. None appeared the first year (or I missed them, because I only checked twice), but I found 20 the next year. And this was only on the "watered" spots, none on other places.
I did it on the spring so the mycelium would get the summer to grow.
