tampanensis stones and fruits

hey guys been lurking round hear for about a year or so and finally got round to some work.
i had started with psylocybe tampanensis on rye berries and after waiting about 6 months harvested for stones.
i used one of the teks without adding coffee water. so the berries were just soaked in straight water. my harvest was extremely small. out of 3 QT jars only about 5 grams of stones. what could have led to this? i kept them in the dark for the first 3 months or so, then exposed to ambient light for the last 3. ive read that i may need to isolate to find a better stone producer, but other thoughts appreciated.
now, after the harvest, i put one directly into a tray and cased and misted. and others mixed with some hpoo for bulk sub. using a sgfc type of FC, ive been fanning several times a day and keeping humidity up with perlite in the bottom.
now with the fruits, none of the caps have really developed. also some of the fruits have turned blue and not reached full size. and the ones that do reach full size are all crooked and spiraling all over the place. none of them grow straight up like ive seen in other posts.
any ideas on how i can get straight fruits and get spores? second flush is the same as the first so far, kinda bummed.

it could have been a number of things that led to a small harvest. gypsum is a good idea as is coffe water. your grains could've been dry or it could have just been genetics.
i had a bunch of MS atl7 and one qt i used a different looking piece of myc from the agar plate and it didnt grow a single stone when all the rest of the jars did great on the same bath of grains.
as far as the fruits i had some straight and some spiraling tamp fruits. the caps were pretty small but i did get some half decent prints. a picture would really be helpful though
also i noticed you said a SGFC 'style' FC. is that built to spec or your own design? i only ask because these are much less hardy than cubes and can be finicky with bad conditions

So do those generally stay thin like that or is that just his lack of FAE? I've read those are similar potency to cubes somewhere on here so why the fuck would anyone grow them? I mean you'd have to eat like 50 for a trip

Potency in the sporocarp is much higher than cubes, at least double. The sclerotia they produce in the substrate are close to cubes.

has anyone seen an ultrasonic misting into an open sgfc? was thinking to increase fae, i could take out the polyfill in the bottom and leave holes open, the humidified air would come from the top and would mix with air inside while a good portion would seep out the holes. thinking of ways to automate, since i cant be fanning the thing every 30 min or hour and dont want to add fans or a coolmist. think that would that work?

all you need is a sgfc. with the size of your trays it wouldnt have to be too big but you could use it for many things if you made a decent sized one.
you can get away with fanning them whenever you think about it or have time and they get mad fresh air on their own and plenty of humidity with the proper amount of perlite.
simple is usually better in this hobby is what i've found
