chronic tek to pins please help :(
    #22072898 - 08/10/15 06:09 PM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Alright guys so here is the situation: My first grow went great. I colonized a pint jar, cut it in half, fruited chronic style and boom. Good yealds. My second hrow rolls around amd I try the same thing except using cup jars (and alot more of them) and get terrible yealds. Maybe 2-3 tiny dry ass shrooms before my mycelium got old and died. Sad. Now I'm on my third run and am fruiting 1 quart jar (cut in half, chronic style geuiting) and 2 cup jars (1 chronic, 1 invitro). All have no pins and have been fruiting for more than a week now!!! All i have are tiny headless pin-like things that are like tiny stems. The only different thing i recall doing my first first go was dunking and rolling. These past times I've dunked, not rolled. If you want a pic let me know. Sorry if there are typos my phone is giving me a hard time.

it's always best to dunk and roll but i'd say all ya can do is wait ti out and give them as much air as ya can(hard to do with this set up though)

I dunk and rolled all. I also decided to do something a little different with the invitro one...I decided to put moist perlite on the bottom of a cylinder soup container thing and put my cake in there with a few holes for breathing. And of course I used tin foil to rest it on...thoughs? Suggestions? Thanks. (pic will be up soon)

is there a reason you are using these methods and not putting them in a fruiting chamber? my best advice would be to build a sgfc and let them things breath.

always dunk and roll and dont cut cakes in half. it stresses them out and doesn't help anything

I'm a little pressed for spave at the moment is the reason...if I had the space I would have a classic sgfc
