A way to utilize old trays of mycelium?
    #22072137 - 08/10/15 03:02 PM (8 years, 5 months ago)

I am on my first grow currently and I have one tray of rye seed coir verm mycelium that is done producing. I was gonna dunk but instead I got to thinking, I've heard that mycelium that has produced mushrooms contains decent amounts of psilocybin, and I know people have eaten mycelium before, but I could not find any threads about using citric acid or lemon juice concentrate and mixing it with the old myc in a bowl, let it sit for a while, then strain the lemon juice out and add it to drinks. Would this work?
Thanks,
John

Instead of trying to squeeze more doses out of it you could use the spent mycelium to filter grey water and add nutrient to h2o for future projects.

Put in blender with water, blend, strain, drink

Report back

Try it. I mean the worst that could happen is you strain it, drink the juice, and don't get a trip. But hey if it works you have something worth while to bring to the community's attention
