hey everyone I was wondering what the most up to date opinion's on "where to go after agar" are ? I finally jumped into the world of agar using pastywhyte's easy agar tek and im debating my next course of action.I've read multiple options (LC,slurry, straight to grain(followed by grain to grain or GLC),more agar & many more options I'm sure).
i figured the best way to find out the would be to ask what everyones preferred technique currently is,I've been using the search engine for this same subject but like i said i want the most up to date opinions. thanks in advance you guys rock, hope some TC's chime in on this one

Really the best thing to do is try everything. That will be the best way to figure out what works for you. I suggest starting with G2G if you haven't already. That will give you some good skills to start with LI and or slurrys. Then move on to LC. By the time you have become successful (or not) with most of them you will start to have a good feel of the pros and cons and which ones fit best for your needs.
I also recommend trying as many different ways of fruiting as possible. Spawn to bulk is great but try muda bottles or v tek too. Make a straw log or two. By doing these things you become rounded as a cultivator and have few limitations.

Tiger drop the agar round right into a grain jar then G2G from there.

I'm not a TC, and not even experienced, but I'd like to ask you a few questions, which might help get more answers.
Have you done PF-TEK, or any others? How did that turn out?
Your pasty plates: What have you done? I'm on my third "generation?" I have taken several strains, some have been done to the third time. I've got a couple which are completely isolated. I have no idea what this means, or what good is it, but I figure it's part of learning agar. (Pasty plates are great, aren't they?)
This might help others figure out where you are, so they can advise you where to go. Eventually we'll both do all Pasty advised us to do, well, maybe not the logs but the rest of it, sure!

Why don't you like g2g?
How long did it take you to feel confident in doing LC? I'm working up to it, I think.

POTY! One could take this post, break it down piece by piece, and make the definitive roadmap out of it. That's why I nominate it for Post of the Year! I hope everyone realizes just how good you are at this.
There are guys on this forum who are as good at this--knowledge and teaching--as any I've ever associated with. Boggles my mind. My hat's off to you all. Now, maybe at some point, I'll stop sucking and be able to help, too! fuck/sigh
Great job advising, Pasty.

LC is easy with agar.
Some people like the speed of liquid vs G2G. I'm still a G2G/LI master kind of guy.

first thing i ever did was pf-tek with from spore syringe i did that a couple times before making LC and had relatively good success with the LC (specially considering i skipped agar and went straight from the spore syringe) i used that LC to learn the bucket tek and have been doing monos ever since but started getting contaminations more and more often so i finally decided it was time to start agar which brings us here and yes pastyplates are amazing, still getting used to the condensation each time i pressure cook them(heating/cooling slowly). im on my second generation of plates that i started from spore print and just the other day i decided to try and clone one of the nicest looking fruits from a current tub i got going.
hope that helps, thanks again everyone!
