My cactus just killed over.. What should I do?

I've bought this 'duo' San Pedro pot from Home Depot years ago, and they've grown together quite a bit. Now one of them has fallen over from its own weight.
How close to the base should I cut it?
It has sprouted a 'pup' so I'm not too sad about losing it. I'll transplant what I cut after the up coming winter. Thanks!

Well, without seeing it and seeing how much of the column has fallen over, I say to cut it wherever is the most aesthetically pleasing... Whatever you leave should pup and keep growing and you can re root and re plant whatever you do cut off...

Right?! I let my cactus get too big and it collapsed on itself. All the mescaline lovers will cry in their sleep tonight.

Did you repot it after you bought it into at least a pot double the size of what you bought it in? Do you have a pic buddy I'd like to see what a growing Home Depot specimen looks like years later?

They've been repotted twice actually, the last one is the biggest pot I've got. If I come across a camera I'll get a picture of the last standing one and the pup.
