Cake help. Need more fae?

Hello!
I had a quick question about the status of my cakes. I inoculated using a LC I made from a Treasure Coast syringe. They colonized very quickly. I had some houseguests staying with me, so I gave them about 2.5 weeks to fully consolidate.
I've had these 3 cakes in the SGFC for 4 days now. They're not sitting on the perlite, I've got them on top of the 1/2 pint lids. They're on a 12/12 schedule now, located next to a window. I fan them about 5x a day and mist when I no longer see droplets (about 3x/day). I've got them in a large room with plenty of air circulation. I went a little overboard with the perlite (6 inches exactly) but since I only have the 3 cakes, I figured that would be ok.
I can't tell if those are hyphal knots, or I'm lacking FAE. Would one of you be so kind as to tell me if I need to change anything?
Please & thank you.

Yes maam, they are looking like they need more FAE from all the aerial mycelium. The hole pattern on your SGFC looks a little sloppy, but it's not too far off. What size bit to you make those holes with?
Could be possibly be genetic. Not sure what to make of this exactly.

you'd be way better off with proper sized holes, 1/4" is standard. It doesnt look like they're in a 2x2" grid pattern either, you seem to lack quite a few.
also you need to elevate your chamber so air can come in the bottom holes, its the most important thing of the basic principles of a sgfc

Thanks. I didn't have the proper sized drill bit, so I used my propane torch and a punch to make the holes. I wouldn't recommend it.
My SGFC is elevated 6 inches on a wire rack. Plenty of airflow underneath.
Do you think I should scoop out an inch of perlite, or should I just fan more?

i'm not sure if there is such a thing as too much perlite in the chamber, but i'd definitely make the holes larger.

It's probably not causing the aerial mycelium but is there anything under your cakes? or are they directly on the perlite? might be worth putting some foil or a jar lid under them if they are on the perlite.
