That's all up to you really. I don't really follow anything in particular right now, other than any teks I write up, which are things I typically do. Even then, nothing is all in one place anywhere on the site. 3 grain masters to 7-10 receiver jars per master isn't a bad way to start a round of grows.

Saw a guy cold coffee dunking his grains before spawning.. Any thoughts? He hasn't posted any results.... Be well....

What do you predict as an out come... Coffee invite the trike... More than say 75% of the time if dunking on cold coffee?

Hey Johnny. I'm assuming you're referring to my coffee grain dunk I did this morning.
I have 8 6 qt shoebox tubs colonizing and three more fruiting. So yeah, I'm experimenting with some things that quite possibly will contam.
If it works out and if I can get consistent results I'll make a tek. But I wouldn't follow in my footsteps unless you're prepared to lose some tubs.

Yeah, I deleted and restarted that thread as just a way to link to some things I want to try out. You can follow and post thoughts about the coffee experiment here.
I don't want to shit up Inocuole's thread but I will say I'm not terribly optimistic about it; just wanted to see for myself since I couldn't find any concrete experiments.

Yeah, I saw. Was sorry to see it.
Thanks for sharing your ideas though. It's stuff like this that gets me thinking of new ways to approach things.
I think you did the impossibly easy oat tek too which got me into trying (and loving) oats.
On that note, here's some overdue for ya

I wandered in here off the streets weighing risk/reward for a coir tek... I will presumably proper pasteurise... But, you see so many saying the coir is forgiving.. Things should go worlds better this time... But, when ready... I'm a experimental kind of shroomaritian....

When I first started I used the easiest sounding, most "foolproof" teks I could on the internet. I lost everything to trich
Then I followed Frank's teks to a T. Which was good practice. Eventually even Frank said fuck it and started using the bucket tek for coir and after doing some research I do too because it's just less hassle. Inocuole's tek is a similar concept. As he said it's not 'proper' anything but for coir it's certainly good enough.
If you want to experience pasteurization so you have a good idea how to do it coir is good practice. If you overcook it, under cook it, whatever it'll be fine.

On that note coir will never actually tell you if you pasteurized correctly or not. Still won't be sure that you've mastered it until you put some poo through it. Regardless, that's how I learned to pasteurize. I did it about 2-3 times before I said fuck it and started just doing this. This probably cooks the coir a bit more than the bucket tek obviously, but the mushrooms seem to like it that way for digestion.

Yea, I don't know what a freshie looks like, but I know a trike puddle... I seen it in color... CVG is how I plan to execute the next try.. Poo/verm bucket tek.. Yeah, laugh it up.. Lol... Not worth it... Lost weeks.. Never again I say.. Never again... But, w/ a lil success, I want to try this tek.. I just can't afford too big a failure.. Give me a lil happiness Magic Kingdom ...

You'll be fine. Biggest thing is to check your coir while you're breaking it up or spawning to it, make sure there's no bullshit in there like raw grains or piece of corn. It's rare but it can happen and when it does it can plant a seed of failure in your grow. Granted usually you can still pull a first flush when that happens.

Yeah, I'm sure I 'fucked' up my first coir pasteurization. But it gave me a bit of an idea when I started fucking around with jiffy (which was just last week!)
