Possible Leucocoprinus birnbaumii?
    #22060740 - 08/07/15 09:45 PM (8 years, 5 months ago)

I found some interesting pins forming from my jojoba plants today in dry 95°F heat. They will probably abort so i wont be able to get a better picture but i believe it to be Leucocoprinus birnbaumii

Any other possibilities someone can think of? Definitely tropical and growing in a soil mix with compost and wood mulch in it.

Ill try to make a humidity dome for them and get pictures of the full fruit

Those are them alright. No need for a humidity dome. They fruit in Summer usually. Keep the soil moist. Looks like a good flush too.

Thanks! I was really pleased to find them fruiting so well in my pots, i was aware of the mycelium but thought it died a few days ago when it dried out.

Too bad they arent edible, i do love the color and shape of the mushroom so i'll keep them around.
