Hello all, I'm still not sure where these contam.s keep popping up, franks tek is followed to a t, but still getting a green-ish contam. while using an SAB. It doesnt matter If the said person does a G2G transfor, or use a new spore syringe... The said person has been very successful in the past months but lately its been a 60-90% contam rate..... (having trouble uploading pics right now) Its a bright greenish mold.

Spore load in your home is obviously high and your sterile tek isn't good enough. Invest in a laminar flow hood to lower your contamination rates

Something is wrong with your spawn mang. You could put some of the big dogs here in a room with trich wall to wall and watch them do 100 grain to grain transfers with a lower contam rate then 90%.
As the tiger said, go over your sterile technique and your jar prep.

hiperhiper said: so what's the right procedure with grains? I've checked the teks and nobody said anything about this. I didn't know I was not supposed to use syringe on grains. What is cleaning up syringe on agar? what does it mean?
