Hey guys, I've been reading up a lot the last few days. I live in Japan and want to get back into the hobby. When I was back home in Cali had a go with success doing the PF method.
Anyone else living in Japan??
Also I was wondering if anyone knows a good sponsor that does paper prints. I may have some buddies back home that can me send me a print. I told them to stick it in a book, but if the print is on foil, it may look a little more suspicious.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!!

Thank you guys for the welcome.
I'm not sure on the laws with spores too. My wife who is Japanese tried researching, but no luck.

Hey welcome!
Worse case, try to order AL LAD from the internets and you can have a helluva time. Your wife like to shroom it up? Noice.
As for Japan's laws, I am not sure, however that isn't stopping you from taking a holiday to woods or something where you could def find a species of it growing somewhere and replicating it from there

I though mush was legal in Japan. I know they are very strict on most drugs, but thought that they had made an exception for mushrooms and even used them in some little known ceremonies. Made illegal in 2002 I guess. In any case be careful as a foreigner in Japan. Might be better to do them at home where you're not going to get banned from ever visiting your wife's homeland again. How long are you there for?

Actually bought a house, so here for the long term.
I'm pretty discreet. I actually know a lot of the local pot smokers here, but try not to associate with them too much. Plus it's not even worth buying it for roughly 50 bucks a gram. A lot of them are dead heads and hippies, but none really do any king of hallucinogenics.

Many of these guys can get a print to you in the mail for microscopy. Post in here if you have cultivation questions.

Thanks for sponsor page.
I've actually seen it already, but I was wondering if anyone knows a good source for prints on paper.
I've already messaged hawks eye already since a lot of people like him, but he only does foil prints.

What is the significance of it being on paper?

Oh, I see now. You will need to message them via email to arrange special packaging. I don't know why you want it on paper though. The envelope will more than likely get through just fine either way.
People have spores sent to Australia all the time. They explicitly forbid shipping of spores in any form, but people still get them.
Hawk and Sporeworks(workman) are rock solid all day long, but any of the sponsors are reputable. Just talk to them about your needs and remember these spores are for microscopy only;)
Worst case scenario, I am sure if you hang around long enough, a member would be willing to send a few prints your way.

I was going to have a friend actually ship it in a book to be a little more discreet. But if there was a piece of foil between the pages, customs may know something is up.

I know people have spores posted to Australia, but Japan is whole different ballpark.
This is a country where most people look at weed on the same level as heroin or meth.
In all honesty I'm not to worried having something shipped straight to me, but at the same time, just bought a house and would like to play it on the safe side.

So talk with a vendor and see if they will prepare a print on plastic or paper.
As I said, many people here send out prints and there are many give away each year for free. Explore your options and hang out.
Seeing as the spores contain no active alkaloids and are used for research, I find it hard to believe they will get you in trouble.
Up until 2002 you could purchase psychedelic mushrooms legally in Japan. Word on the street is that the shut it down due to an international sporting event held there and tourists potentially abusing them.

Thanks for all the info and encouragement to stick around
Spores may not contain no active alkaloids, but Marijuana seeds don't contain THC either, or at least not enough to get high on, and those are illegal in almost any country.

well it looks like ordering a spore print strait from a sponsor is out.
reading into it more it is 100% illegal to have prints in Japan. Cops don't hideout in the forest or anything, but even trying to take a spore print from some local wild grown stuff is bad!
Ain't gonna stop me to try and look and gather what I can find.
a lot of the laws here are only suggestions until you're caught. As far as shipping stuff from abroad, it's not a risk I'm not willing to take since I've had packages opened before from my family filled with clothes and stuff.
I'm still not worried if friends sent me stuff concealed in something though inconspicuous ....

Yeah well the stakes are pretty high there. Unless it is something you've talked over with your wife and she is ok with you taking that risk, I don't think it is fair to her to potentially get kicked out of her homeland as well as do something that will reflect poorly on her and her family in a place where they take such things pretty seriously.
Another thing you might consider is taking a trip to somewhere in SE Asia where mushrooms are more common. I've heard that mushrooms are commonplace in some off the beaten path Thai/Cambodian resorts, as well as cheap marijuana. Everything I've heard from respectable ex-pats in Japan is that it is better to just forget about using drugs when you're in Japan. They're already suspicious of foreigners, and will not give you any second chances or let you pay a local official to forgive and forget.

Actually my wife is cool with most stuff I do and I live out deep in the country where most people still look at foreigners as a new thing. Today my wife woke me up to tell me that my old room mate was there to borrow some stuff for a BBQ. He comes walking in with THC wax. It was my first time smoking that stuff and it's been a few months sine the last time I smoked, so that was a pleasant surprise that my wife woke me up for.
He was telling me that he paid about $300 bucks for it!!!!
I've smoked, dropped a tab, and other things, but the price is usually not worth it for me to go out and actively look, but if it's there, I'll happily partake.

Hi all. I have been coming to shroomery for years but never set up account. I know. Should have. I am finally free from the shackles uncle Sam had on me for 14 years. Shackles I chose to put on. It took a few explosions and falling from the sky for me to get my freedom. Broken spines and shoulders do not go well with the military uniform. While I truly miss it, I am happy to begin the next adventure in my life and I look forward to unlocking parts of my mind that have been locked away this past decade. I hope to find my inner self again, hope to find a way to purify my body of all the narcotics, and I hope my wife doesn't leave me when she discovers I wanted to be a shaman before I chose to be a soldier and I plan to get back to what I should have been.
Anyway. Disability retirement has afforded me all the time off I could have ever imagined. I would rather be Healthy and free to do everything I used to but having 24 hours a day to do what I want is nice but very boring and at times greatly depressing. I have time to do nothing, something, everything. I will be reading many posts as I re-learn old tricks and learn the new ones. I hope to meet some like minded folks but prefer to meet those that are different and force me to learn and grow on this new voyage.
It's nice to meet you all.
