After my first flush there's a lot of grains exposed everywhere.

The aggressive mycelium will reclaim what is rightfully theirs
I've once heard of a wizard "patching" his tubs with casing material to have no exposed grains

i'm not sure, but I heard once that after the mycelium enters the fruiting mode it stops colonizing.

The bulk sub will be strong enough at this point to fight off any potential contams that might land on the exposed grains, no need to worry. Mist heavily and wait for the next flush to come thru!!

But what do you recommend, you also think i should just leave it exposed?
There're parts of the grains that are not completely colonized.

My last bulk sub I picked, there were exposed WBS kernels afterwards, but I just misted it and waited. The next flush came in and I harvested again, no contams. Make sure to pick it from the base and twist/pull at the same time, it should pop right out. Like I said before, your bulk sub will be able to fight off most contams that might land on the surface. But, posting some pics will help us determine how your tub is doing.

i use both methods for harvest. twist and pull and cutting the fruits. on uncased substrates twist and pull can wreck the sub and expose grains. ill still dunk for a 2nd flush without any problems. i have far more trouble with partially broken aborts contaminating in later flushes than i do exposed grain from harvest.
ive actually stopped cutting the stems recently. due to time constraints and problems in later flushes. to each his own. but the exposed grain hasn't ever really given me issues on later flushes.
i also use wbs spawn.

Wow, are these clones? How many grain jars did you use on the third picture?
