Bacteria?
    #22054582 - 08/06/15 05:13 PM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Hey all!

So I have ten different master jars, each inoculated with thier very own plate, which were all started from two different cultures germinated from spores

These plates, as far as I could tell were immaculate.heres one I think

Heres photos of 2 different jars, all the jars look lije this kinda solis with fluffy myc pushed up against the glass with that smooshed look. They look clean just weird

I had let the agar colonize about a third of the jar before I shook so they colonied wicked fast, the growth was super healthy before I shook.

I left town for a few days and the air conditioning went off so maybe they got a little warmer but not crazy hot, I do see some drops of metabolites and thats the main point that has me worried.

Thee grain was PC for 2.5 hours and the inoculation was very on point. I might sacrifice one to give a good smell and do shake test on others

These are going to be G2G into 4qt spawn. Would you use these masters?

I would not use them as masters, but as spawn for their own mini monos/trays ect.

Ewwwe what a bummer!

Yea I shook them right before I left town for 5 days, and the AC quit.. guess it got real hot here too. Didnt think it woulda got that hot inside but who knows those were stacked in my flow hood room which stays all shut up

I had few tubs colonizing in there just spawned before I left, they look alright though

Heres a PS Mexicana jar that was in there too it looks happy fortunately
Time for a shake

Thanks guys

i just moved, and got a new window unit that has an "auto setting" for energy saving, and goes on and off depending at what temp u set it at.  was only $20 i think than the next one down.  pretty sweet if u can find one at end of summer on the cheap for next year maybe

that happened to me this winter with my heater, got way too hot when i was away.

Oh thats awesome I was looking for one of those for an attic before, I almost bought a power strip that would turn on/ off according to a thermostat.

Im betting it was the temp, I could see a couple jars going bacterial but all ten from ten different plates? Id like to think Im not *that* sloppy

This is my first PE6 grow so itd be nice to see something, maybe grab a clone
I was pretty excited to give these a shot!
