Using Firefox..How do I get rid of this...
    #22052014 - 08/06/15 07:01 AM (8 years, 5 months ago)

When I oped a new tab, instead of a blank page or google or whatever I get this.
I don't think it's due to a virus or whatever, but it's my work computer...and I don't know how to fuck with it...Anybody know how to disable that?

Thanks!

Can you make the image larger or write a description? It's all blurry if I zoom in and the pic is doing that 'deleted' thing.

Better-search.net

Yeah, you've got an add on installed that shouldn't be. Maybe even malware. Sometimes when you download stuff they leave it in the fine print that they're gonna give you something stupid.

It might be an installed program, try the control panel. Something like this kept happening to me once and I had to delete and reinstall the browser, only to realize it was 'my fault' for not unclicking a box during an update.

It seems like every 4-5 years everyone has to get a new computer.

Did you check the installed programs list in the control panel? It could be anything, like search toolbar, or some random abbreviation of numbers and letters.

As the image you posted has nothing to do with Windows, Firefox or an add-on, your best choice is malwarebytes (or similar)

If it's a work computer why don't you let the IT guys handle it?

Then I recommend not surfing porn sites on the work computer.

FWIW, the important ones are on a different system.

It's pretty much only here, reddit, and Facebook as far as browsing on that. It probably came along with a download somewhere along the way. Every now and then I need to get a program to do certain things with out of date programs we run on one of the CNC machines.
