Thanks. Someone suggested topping up with chips. So to them for giving me that idea. I hadn't taken a bag to the park so it was grab and chuck quickly. Anyone else feel like they are that weirdo in the park. Must be worse for you guys. I'm quite frequently leaping out of bushes if I'm not hiding in them ---------- Um just thought this probably doesn't sound so good if you don't realise I'm a woman.

I spent all day searching. Couple of individual non actives, but nothing else. Bummed I haven't found anything at all this season. Not being from New Zealand and not having friends that take mushrooms isn't helping either. Think there is any hope left?

Ok guys, well first off I am completely new to all of this, shrooms and all. i live in the central Bay of Plenty, I would like to try and track down some shrooms in my local area but have absolutely no idea where to go and what too look for. In my area there is a range of enviroments. Including pine forest, native bush, farmlands, douglas fir forests and a redwood forest. If anyone could give me some advice in what to look out for and where to go that would be fantastic

look out for council gardens filled with woodchip, and maybe try looking for forests filled with old pine tree's.. I found my very first mushrooms in a pine forest. Best of luck this late in the season, little amounts around this time of year.

Encountered this about a week ago tried to post up but pics were playing up, knew instantly what the shit was.
Though everyone would appreciate seeing what I saw for reference so I captured some shots, I think it's in everyone's interest that I post these pictures up... Here's the color of the dye of that awful glyphosate shit.
Here is the blue dye, according to inski the pink dye is worse.

No signs up at all, of course... And it fades really fast. Pics taken less than 2 hrs apart. Before-
 After-

Haul from a few days back. There should have been more but I suspect I was beaten to most of them...

Checked up on my only what I thought was my only live patch last night. I arrive, and a lawnmower has been over it and it smells like freshly cut grass... Knew I should've gone the day before. There was only one pin at that patch so I left it.
Checkedup on a few other patches that died a long time ago and one solitary shroom made a comeback.

Safe to say the season is over??? Over the passed few pages the haul numbers are rather low..
I want to say thank you to the mushroom gods as the seasons pass.

@Blazer420 Yea, think it's safe to say it is. Dunedin had been dead for well over a month, well for me at all my spots; so I am assuming that it is for subs.
Also, could anyone tell me if you would find liberty caps later this year? Like just before summer starts, if the conditions were right?

I'll have another crack at my patches when I cfb.
Would be shocked if there's nothing bcoz one of them went so deep into 2014 last year.

Brilliant pics Blazer. Almost too sad to say the season is over. Thanks to everyone too for sharing their pics. Still having a few outings and finding some interesting mushrooms and fungi. Amazing what you find when you start looking and the things you see in your photos that you didn't realise were there.
My highlight of the season was finding a new patch My low light was getting zapped by an electric fence and ending up on my arse in a ditch

Found these today . Obviously jack all, but still!! Shoutout to the tough lil homies who are weeding their way through even this late in the season.
Of particular interest to me, was this one. All the gills appear to be missing/ eaten !!! Haha anyone know if the cap minus gill is even worth eating? Active? Cool anyway though huh
