I thought the black shit in globs was charcoal added to the syringes to appear better to n00bs?

The cube strains indeed all have the same effect from my experience. They also fruit in the same conditions. Some of them look a bit different from selection, but this does not effect potency. Smaller mushrooms, however, seem stronger! I've read somewhere, that past the pinning stage, they don't actually replicate cells, but just fill with metabolic waste and water. I've had spores clump up in a syringe after over a year of keeping them in the fridge, but a good shake always suffices to break it up. I'm fairly sure it's not charcoal, unless you got them from a sketchy vendor.

Pretty sure stare is just trolling :P.
And what everyone else said. Grow out over 15 strains and eat every single one multiple times. You'll see what effects the trip more is your mind set and setting before the trip.

I wasn't trolling. I thought a lot of vendors put charcoal or another darkening agent in there to show "spores" to new growers. I asked about this when I did PF Tek a year ago and was told that. Also researched it and RR confirmed.

EntheogenVisions said: premiumspores.com Yucatan gold thats all i come across, a pic and no description other than link to buy spore, just wondering why the lack of information on this spore.
Lack of info because they are scamming cunts which nobody has any interest in. Its most certainly a relabelled strain, trying to con people into thinking its special. Literally a confidence trick, with made up reviews.
They have another called " Entheogen Explosion " reduced to a mere $62.99 reduced from $89.99 bargain they have several other bullshit (re)names on sale.
There are proper vendors listed on this site, sponsors who not only support this site but are the people who develop new strains/varieties & species, which go on to be copied by others. Or relabelled and cashed in on by scumbags.
The true originators and developers are often the cheapest too, imagine paying for fake copies of cds or clothes which cost MORE than the originals! or at best giving money to people selling perfect copies of cds/mp3s/whatever at the same price as your favourite band.
Please do not support these scumbags, it only encourages more to start up, and dissuades the legitimate ones from continuing.

I don't know, I ordered from the company, ordered a syringe of the Yucatan gold, paid like 40 or 50 bucks. Grain colonized fast , cased in peat and it all bombed.. Took some spores to agar and tried to isolate a single strand of good mycelium and it just looked very fuzzy and not like I'm use to so I chucked them. So I emailed the company and they sent me 2 syringes, no charge for shipping , completely free. Gt syringe and treasure coast. Both in which has produced excellent results. I love the gt, and I even if they did get one over on me , I still got 2 strains that are distinctively different both by looks and buzz\trip. I'm happy with my results but yes don't order the expensive stuff. I highly recommend Golden Teacher, highly contam resistant, fast colonizing, pretty uniform flushes. Very medicating trip.

How does active charcoal help with contams/lcs?

I thought it has special pores that can attract and catch contaminants or something.
