Yikes dude, sorry to hear that you're still feeling shitty. Regarding this:
Quote:
Is it true that Psycedelic mushroom spores travel through a cows stomach?
Yes that's true, from what I understand cows don't have stomach acids, and so their stomachs and GI tracts are sterile environments where mushroom spores can germinate and thrive. Foodborne viruses usually have an incubation period of a few days before symptoms start to show. I think a bacteria would more likely be the culprit. Your symptoms sound a lot like dehydration, it's possible that you got food poisoning from the mushroom. In fact, I'm thinking that's likely what you have.
I'm doing a bit of research for you, and at least one source recommends calling your physician if you think you've contracted food poisoning from a mushroom. If you go this route, you really don't have to tell him that you ate a magic mushroom. Just say you ate a common field mushroom, Agaricus campestris, that looked a little old.
Other sources say that most mushroom-borne bacterial illnesses should clear up within one to three days, but you need to keep yourself hydrated because the bacteria is dehydrating you. I know you're vomiting a lot, you said you couldn't drink water earlier. That can be a problem, in extreme cases of dehydration the only way to get rehydrated is through an IV drip. You need some potassium (fruit, especially bananas), sugars, water, and electrolytes. Fruit and some powerade, or maybe some chicken noodle soup broth, take small sips and hold it in your mouth for as long as you can, until you can hold some down without vomiting. If you can (very slowly!) drink a half to a whole powerade, then switch it up to ice water and keep drinking until the nausea goes away.
Also, keep in mind that this could be entirely coincidental as well. You could have caught a stomach flu, influenza, the cold, etc. a few days ago, and the symptoms just started to kick in the day you ate a wild mushroom. Either way, the dehydration tips still apply, you absolutely sound dehydrated and you need to try to rehydrate. Don't be afraid to go the doctor if you can't make it through the day, or if the symptoms are even worse tomorrow. I'd be seriously considering it about now. Dehydration is a slippery slope, and once you get past a certain point there's no way to treat yourself, you'll just keep vomiting and dry heaving until it literally fucking hurts. I've been that way a couple of times, I only had to see a doctor for it once when I was a kid though.

Dude, you have food poisoning. You are aware of the bacteria that is in the GI of a cow, right?
"Intestinal bacteria were isolated from 15 cattle. Approximately 600 isolates were studied, and their presence and numbers in the duodenum, ileum, cecum, and colon were noted. Bacteria most frequently isolated from all parts of the intestinal tract included Escherichia coli, Streptococcus bovis, and species of Bacillus." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC277635/
This bacteria obviously comes out in the poop... And makes people sick when they eat it....

Thanks everybody. Ive managed to keep a half a bottle of gatorade and half a large cup of ice water so far. I'm starting to feel a little better but i still have mild body aches, and mild nausea. I dont think its dehydration thats causing my symptoms, as i drank plenty of water yesterday, somewhere around 10-12 large glasses which is what Ive drank my whole life daily.yet my symptoms were even worse then than they are right now. Also I don't have opiate withdrawal, in fact I've never even tried opiates in my life because I know they can be extremely addictive.

Another symptom I just noticed, I haven't made any bowel movements since yesterday, I usually make one every day or more. Plus I ate three very large meals yesterday, where could all that food have gone?

Also how would I go about preventing cow-dung borne food poisoning when searching for Psycedelic mushrooms? I certainly don't want another experience like this.

Mushrooms can go bad/be infected by bacteria, etc. They're like any food product.

the key is to find fruits when they're fresh.
would you eat a maggoty apple that's been sitting in fly infested humid 90 F cow patty for a couple days even if it would get you high?
the alternative for questionable ones would be go the tea route and between the boil the and the extra acid from lemon tek, i believe you kill most stuff.
hope you're feeling better by now and have your zeal tempered by some caution. learning isn't always pleasant, but you tend to remember those lessons longer.
and maybe someone will benefit from reading about your experience, and avoid eating old mushrooms.

This. The longer the mushroom sits in the open air on the patty, the more likely it will develop bacteria that can cause food poisoning. Try to pick the freshest caps, leave the ones that look questionable.
Theoretically, you can kill off a lot of the bacteria by making a tincture with the mushrooms. Use a 70%/30% mixture of Everclear and distilled water, and allow the mushrooms to soak for at least a full day. Heating the mushrooms in a tea will kill some bacteria, but some of the bacteria known to cause food poisoning are heat-resistant and may survive the brewing process.
But really, just be more careful, don't eat wild mushrooms if they look even slightly old, active or not. As I'm sure you're now realizing, it's just not worth it.
