UPDATE: both trays and the mono are now in fruiting!

Holes are 1.25 in., bottom ones are stuffed tight with polyfil, top ones are stuffed loosely. Thin layer of Verm was applied to both trays in the SGFC. Both FCs have 6500k lights over them on a 12/12 cycle. Should I run my ceiling fan on low? I heard you needed to run a fan for monotubs to work, but would that mess up the flow of the SGFC?
Picture updates will follow; can't wait to start seein those pins!

I wouldn't.
Dial it in though:
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17332777
Just loosen the top and bottom until they look similar. I wouldn't run a fan in a room with an SGFC.

Seems like maybe it could even be a good thing? You know, taking up the CO2, making oxygen? Just a thought

A bit sporadically, but yeah. I think most of it is from drips falling off the lid. A lot of the moisture is running down the sides and going between the trash bag liner and the wall/bottom of the mono

I would give that a gentle mist then. You want tiny beads of moisture all along the substrate.
How are your evaporation lines? Like Frank's?

They're on all sides of the mono. It's hard to tell cause they were already there before I put it into fruiting. I do have the dry spaces around the top holes and the dry rings around the bottom holes though

IME if my mono isn't fogging up I'm giving it too much FAE.
It could be different for your environment though, we'll see when the pins come in. I'd just give that a gentle mist and wait

Again, it's hard to tell; the evaporation/condensation lines were so well established after the colonization period that if there is/isn't any patterns of condensation now, it's hard to see them. Could just be the result of using such a small mono

Update: Day 3 in fruiting for mono, day 4 in fruiting for trays. Temps outside the FCs are 70-71f consistently. 12/12 cycle with a 6500k lamp over each FC. Still no signs of pinning or primordia at all. When I open the mono lid I smell fresh mushie goodness, but when I open the SGFC I smell nothing from the trays. I'm wondering if I put too much Verm on the trays? Here are the pics:

Also, just letting you all know that dark-ish spot is not contam; it's been here since I spawned. Just an area with a lot of substrate that I guess I didn't mix thoroughly enough with spawn.

Surface area contributes to smell. In that SGFC you have perlite, trays, aluminum, air, etc. moving around.
In that Monotub you have a lot more mushroom material (and also uncased which is a big factor in smell). Both look great brotha, I usually wait 5 days to see pins. If it takes longer then that then it's normally the culture.
The darkish spot just looks like slightly less colonized CVG. Fine, in other words
