Habitat:
Found growing on bottom of tree near roots.

Gills:
Dark orange gills, almost red, close together


Spore print color:
Brown

Ya


Other information:
Smells like a mushroom from the grocery store

Could be Gymnopilus spectabilis but im not sure weight for a TI and take a print. If it is then your in for a good time.:trippinbawelz:

Oh if the print is brown it is an gymnopilus spectabilis its a hallucinogenic mushroom good find bro :asianofapproval: but still i'll get bitched at if I dont say wait for a TI so wait for a TI but im sure im right.

can you post a pic with a closer view of both the cap and the gills where it meets the stem?
they look free to me in the thumbs (wont expand)

oh, and please post a pic of the spore print.

gymnopilius prints are not usually characterized as 'brown' but more orange.

brown is a bad sign.

My bad sorry didn't see the stem does not touch the gills. Im not sure what that is then but my bad. But just to be fair some gymnopilus i've seen have brown/orange prints its not like super bright and in the right light they appear kinda rusted brown.
