Is this possible???

So...I have a 2 liter thick plastic wide-mouth bottle that just produced a nice flush of Argentinian strain cubes. I was wondering - why wait a week for some half-assed second flush? Wouldn't it be possible to take this fully colonized (and now re-hydrated) block of mycelium, break it up, and add it to some pasteurized bulk substrate?
Although I printed four gorgeous caps, why waste the time and resources to sterilize a bunch of syringes, PC multiple quarts of grain, knock up a bunch of jars, only to add the spawn to bulk? Why not (as with PF teks) break up the brick of mycelium and add it directly to four quarts (1:2 ratio) of field capacity pasteurized HPoo and coir? Contamination would not likely be a problem, right??? The mycelium would eat that [horse shit] up in a nanosecond...I doubt anything else would stand a chance.
Or am I just trippin'?
N.B.

If you don't really care whether or not it lasts for a second flush, why not just try it and see if it works? I would only spawn cakes to bulk after birthing them personally.

Its already in fruiting mode so it wont have the proper energy to properly colonize the bulk sub, NB.
Kind of like how you need to wait for full colonization before you fruit.

You could do it if you'd like. It would just re-colonize. Same as the people that throw their spent tubs and cakes outside and then get some flushes that way.

try it. could work. if it doesn't, then u will have the provelidge of meeting those contaminants that do stand a chance.

You're talking about taking a jar that your fruited from grain, getting a flush then spawning it? That won't be a good idea, they're producing different metabolites and they've shifted into a later phase of the life cycle. Energy is focused on getting a reproductive body out, not consuming food.
Think of it as you trying to start over at the beginning of puberty. It'd be uncomfortable and you would have a hard time adjusting.

You could do it. The crumbled up cakes might contaminate, might not. Why don't you give it a try? I would wash the cakes in cold soapy water first. The mycelium will not have a problem going back to colonization mode. Try it with half your cakes, let the other half go through more flushes. Then you tell us.
On a side note. I am kind of doing something similar. I cleaned the casing off of a shit load of stems the other day. I was going to throw them I'm my garden compost pile but then decided to mix them with a few quartz of pasteurized horse poo. It's only been a few days but they are colonizing the poo nicely. Reason for my experiment is to see how much fruit does the horse poo produce on it's own. I am a believer that the grain spawn produces most of the fruit when mixed with coir or manure. I want to know how much energy is available in these bulk substrates
-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
