Anybody ahve any good recipies for pasta sauce, preferably something tomato based weith meat, but any other ideas would be good. Thanks.

I just made this for eggplant parmesan on Christmas.
no meat, but to make into meat sauce just brown your bef and toss it in while cooking :sun:

6-10 tomatoes
1 can tom. paste
brown sugar
onion powder

first u have to stew your tomatoes so maybe buy a can?..

anyway its all about taste so just add the ingredients in small amounts taste tesing as you go!
If you have them I would add mushrooms and fresh onions aswell.

The best tomato sauces are fresh and only heated, not cooked...

take 3 cans of good quality, preferably imported whole tomatoes, no salt added. Tomatoes are canned after they have been ripened to their peak on the vine and they taste better.

Here is something most people dont know about tomatoes.. Red tomatoes in your grocery store are not ripe at all. They are picked green and stored in rooms with some sort of special gass. This turns the tomatoe red without actualy ripening it. Time is the only thing that can ripen a tomato.

Put in a food processor:
salt, pepper, olive oil, fresh garlic, yellow onion, dried oregano, dried parsely or italian seasonings. Add everything in amounts to fit your taste.
Mix all ingreedients till it looks good to you.
Tear in:
fresh thyme, rosemarry, sage and add one or two pinches of sugar and mix lightly so that you dont totaly chop up the fresh herbs.

When it comes time to serve you will slowly heat the sauce in a large skillet and when its just about to get that first boil bubble, put in your fresh, boiled pasta and toss. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, garnish with fresh parsley and wholla...

I urge everyone to try sauce that hasnt been boiled or cooked. On pizza its to die for, on pasta its to kill for...
