I don't think it's an abomination or anything but I consider neo hippy hippy chicks hot. What I mean by that is hippy values like sharing, loving(nature, animals, people and peace). Peaceful, passive aggressive, progressive, equality. However IMO the difference of a neo hippy is also, doing your job, keeping good hygiene, dress nicely, nice appearance, not blindly against government or authority. .
Returning to the OP I wouldn't kick a chick out of bed for having armpit hair but I wouldn't dig it. If she insisted it would take a lot of getting used to.

I used to think I wouldn't like the idea of chicks having armpit hair. Grew up with the standard of beauty for chicks being fully shaved with maybe some bush. Then I had a fwb I met online from San Fran who had pit hair. Didn't detract from her beauty at all. Seen some hippy chicks who do it too, and it's not unattractive by any means.
Mind you, I love me a shaved pair of legs and a well groomed cat (bald is fine too), but I guess if chicks wear it well, they wear it well
I don't think anyone owes it to anyone to keep shaved, although I manscape myself so the hair I have looks well worn. Don't shave my legs though, ain't got time for that. But folks will judge you. It does kinda suck that societally I could get away with being a wooly mamoth, but a girl will get more flack for it.
By the by, I hear the trendy part of the trend is to dye it funny colors

I saw this girl in Chicago, friend of a friend that I as with. She had a half shaved head, she shaved her legs, but didn't shave her armpits. I saw other girls like this too. They even go as far as plucking their eyebrows, but they leave their armpit hair for a statement. It's incredibly dumb if you ask me. Like if you don't want to shave, then embrace it entirely.
Most of these "hippy" chicks with unshaved armpits aren't even hippies, they are "hipsters". BIG difference.

Dated a migratory punk for a fat minute, and she was completely unshaven. It didn't phase me, and sometimes at night I'd rub my legs against hers if I had an itch I was too lazy to reach down and scratch. She also wore no deodorant, but slathered herself in coconut oil frequently. I had a grand time, apart from the fact that we were both in massive party mode and constantly fucking up our/each other's lives.
I'd rather take full hair over weird stubble, that's for sure. Shave or don't, but don't shave like once a week so there's those sharp little flat hairs threatening to give me a tongue ulcer.

Lady with hairy armpits chiming in here.
I quit shaving my armpits in high school simply because I was tired of doing it. I decided it was a waste of time and anybody who has ever had razorburn or ingrown hairs in their armpits knows it is no picnic. I did not make the decision to stop to "make a statement." I did it for comfort and to be free to spend that time on more important activities.
I have really dark hair. And I'm a hairy person. It is what it is. I can remember feeling so insecure all the time about having hairy legs and armpits starting in middle school. I had to beg my mother relentlessly to finally be allowed to shave. Once I started shaving I had to constantly keep up on it to avoid feeling insecure in gym class or whatever. Years later when I let it go and let it grow out of laziness I found a sense of self acceptance and confidence I never had before. I learned how to not give a fuck about petty stupid things and about what petty stupid people think of me or my hairy armpits, and that is better than Christmas morning.
On occasion I shave my legs if I have time and ambition. I wear a lot of leggings in the winter and that can be uncomfortable when your legs are super hairy.
I trim my bush for comfort and hygeine.
I don't pluck my eyebrows cuz that hurts and it looks like shit if you don't keep up on it all the time.

My girl has a bush and hairy armpits. She also is amazing in the sack. I find a lot of women with hairy pits attractive. I don't judge them based on something so irrelevant.
Pixie cuts and hairy pits are a common sight here.

qft
as a fellow hairy fairy with dark hair I'm pretty over shaving, like it's too time consuming and with my sensitive skin, it isn't worth the hassle. I've settled on just trimming most of my body. I do still shave though, it's just a lot less frequent. I usually just get the brows waxed and then upkeep with plucking until I get tired of doing it lol

I feel like if people stopped judging openly we can start to have a society where it is accepted to present yourself however your want and not risk feeling insecure.
Armpit hair is a choice you should make and the fact that society encourages it for women and not men seems backwards. Glad there are some open minded people on this thread.
However I think that men and women, if they want, should tell their partners what they prefer in regards to body hair
