I know what you mean, but shouldn't you have transferred a plate before the myc overwhelms the other colony? I just had this problem tonight with a plate I knew had a satellite colony but couldnt get to it in time, but I was able to see the overwhelmed colony by holding the plate up and looking through the agar at a light.

Its just the same old Wikidzon clone I have been working with for a while now. Need to get another one going but this one has been doing pretty good. Been rolling with it for over a year now.

Every single time you do a new transfer though, there's the potential of introducing new satellite colonies. If one so happens to land on the wedge you're transferring it can fuck your shit. Probably not a concern for most people who have their tech down but.. still a possibility best avoided. Same reason it's recommended not to transfer from the edge of a dish.

I keep saying we should grow it off of food then it will have better flavor. Coffee flavored shrooms cinnabon flavored shrooms omg man we need to start using food to grow them they'll be so good tasting.

Yeah if it worked like that I don't think we'd be adding feces to substrates as often.

Besides, being a home cultivator means that you have the option of eating them fresh. Fresh cubensis taste great and not bitter like when there dehydrated.

It could be genetic or could be environmental. Are you misting? Too much water and not enough evaporation can cause that.

Nah. I had to get up for work. I did take a reading before I left though. Will be taking a reading every 12 hours, once with the temp at its highest and once with the temp at its lowest.

I do believe its genetics, the other tub is showing the same characteristics and I try not to mist with the first flush just if its needed

Its ms to agar and then I use selective genetics, its winter at the moment but I have an oil heater in the room so temps are between 20C-23C
