I tried taking a cow patty once that had visible pins growing out of it, like you could just see dozens and dozens of caps beginning to poke out of the shit patty, but alas nothing grew when I got it home. The pins that looked like they were forming just vanished over time and I ended up having nothing except a pile of shit in my backyard. I decided right then and there to look into mycology and look where I'm at now Just set up a grow man. It's easy and cheap all you really have to do is watch RR's videos: http://www.mushroomvideos.com/BRF-Pf-Tek
Even if you could get some to grow from the shit you get, you would never get anything in comparison to the yields you will get from watching that 4 part video on there. Picking in fields has become a thing of the past for me thanks to that video and the help of the many seasoned cultivators on this website.

That is EXACTLY what I did.

Growing most types of mushroom is simple as long as you take the time to do it right. Having the right supplies helps even more. Dont expect to always be perfect (last week while cloning I wasnt thinking and dumped my boiling water right onto the sample... lol. I dumped that sample but hey i bet it would have worked). But study, learn and get proper tools. These forums are a huge repository of experimental information and the people here have a great community. Been lurking since 2000ish and i still enjoy reading threads about grows that blow my mind with how unique and intutive posters here can be.

Yes it is. That video is literally all you need to watch to know exactly how it's done. Just don't skimp on the details when it comes to how the video instructs you to do things and you will be golden
