When doing a G2G in a SAB, do I leave the lid off of the donor throughout the whole process?

Do I leave the lid of the donor jar off until all transfers are completed, or replace the donor lid between each transfer? Will it make any difference either way?
I read a Tek by TrancendingLife showing him replacing the donor lid: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17218726
Then, I saw a Tek by Frank where it showed him leaving off the lid until all transfers were complete: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17441645#17441645
Which should I follow?

Well as you can see frank has all his jars lined up and ready to receive the colonised grains, so there would be no point in him putting the lid on his master jar in between transfers.
TL on the other hand, has to unscrew lids for each jar between transfers, so it would mean leaving his master jar open for a heck of a lot of time.
It all depends on space and quantity of jars. If you have enough space that you can line up your jars and have them ready for quick transfers, you need not put the lid back on after each transfer. If you keep them stacked and have to waste time and move some more, it would be wiser to put the lid on the master jar between transfers.

Just leave it off so you have a hand free to open and close the receiving jars.

I figure that taking the lid on and off is a large contam risk. So I just leave it off.

Is it okay to set the donor lid in the corner of the SAB until the process is complete?

I usually try to close things when they aren't in active use, and if doing so causes me to fuck up everything else more, I stop trying to do it. I use a 56qt airbox, which makes everything harder to do well. Prolly switching to LI for this reason.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

I used to use a 66 qt SAB but I kept bumping my mother jar on the top when doing g2g.
I think my new tub is 105 qts.

It's best to try and use up the contents of the master jar by time your done so it's empty and you don't worry about where you set the lid. Setting the lid on a nonsterile surface and then placing it back on a jar you're trying to keep sterile is a potential contamination vector.
