I have been working with DMT for a while now and thought of sharing some technique that I find works great for smoking DMT in a relaxed way without any stress/fear/anxiety.
Set and Setting Tools used: oilburner-pipe and a big torchlighter. Music: uplifting progressive trance. Lights: All on
Breathing As a first rule, always think of breathing as your priority. This might seem like an obvious thing but thing is that time usually slows down and if you depend on always counting to 20sec you might endup with your physical body giving you signals that it needs oxygen and you just keep holding that breath in. After some trips of doing this you might buildup fear related to breathing because you get that feeling everytime you launch. Everytime you feel you need to breathe.. no matter if it has been only 5sec sinse you inhaled..breathe out and take that breath. It is better to "waste" material than to buildup fear related to smoking DMT. The physical body will always adapt to the lack of breath and breathe faster and more intense when you finally let go. Nothing to be afraid of when you notice it, it is what it has been doing for many years and knows exactly how to accomplish this. There are somuch oxygen in the space you inhabit that it will always get it.
Heartbeat The more DMT you inhale the more the physical body will react and the heartrate will go up. This sometimes feels stressful and your need for more oxygen will increase and so the need to breathe becomes more noticeable. You can play around with this by sitting up comfortable without smoking too much but have enough in your pipe to experiment. Take first a small hit and notice the increase and then take a larger dose and really focus and learn on how your physical body reacts to the material.
Amount of inhalations I have sometimes taken one huge rip and this has been very nice at times when all you want to do is get the smoking over with so you can focus on the actual trip. However the amount of DMT will also increase the rush you get from the DMT together with increased heartbeat and need for oxygen. Taking that huge rip can be great if you manage to launch and leave the physical behind without being attached to it mentally. Fear shows up if you are too focused on the physical during the launch and you will notice the mechanics it goes through with heartbeat and breathing etc. Taking 3 tokes is always a nice aproach as it gives you more of a relaxed entrance. Before I used to think that I might lose consciousness and drop everything if I enter the other dimension but from experience ive noticed that if you inhale and you leave the physical dimension, all you do is sit there with pipe in your hand until you come down again and you might take another hit or not. Counting to 3 tokes can be confusing too when you enter the other dimensions because counting is weird and you might endup with a timeskip where you take second toke and all of the sudden timeskip and the 3rd toke happens at the same time and suddenly 5min have passed. Really weird I know. So what ive learned is that the best aproach is to listen more to your physical body while inhaling and skip the counting all together. Just inhale as much as you feel like..the amount of rush you want to get and then breathe out and relax. Always relax between each toke/rip. Let yourself relax and then go again. Observe your reality as you continue.
Wrapup So make sure you focus on being as relaxed as possible at the cost of wasting DMT, it is better to work on not creating fear around the DMTexperience. Do not stress it, make sure you have enough DMT to play with. If I sit and become anxious about if I should smoke or not, ive learned that rather than sitting there anxious i just take small tokes until the DMT is finished..the trip itself does not become as intense because what is causing the intense experience is always the amount of DMT you get into your system. Taking enough hits but not too intense can push you into the other dimension and still operate the physical body. It is really interresting how much you learn about the physical body when you enter the other dimensions and come back. Moving through the layers so to speak is very rewarding. Best thing ive found is to get control over the experience and learn to work with the physical body during the launch. Fear and anxiety as for me been a real struggle but these techniques I have written here has helped me deal with most of them.
