Hi people, this is my first post. It is a pleasure to meet you all.
It has been two months since I discovered the shroomery and I have been reading it a lot since then. It has been extremely helpful for a great number of things, ranging from the best ways to enjoy salvia to the making of psilocybin extractions.
Lately I have been messing with simple grow kits but am now finally starting with the real thing, my first PF tek project. Naturally, I'm very excited about it and will have a ton of questions and issues to discuss.
I have also tried to read up as good as i can on how to be a good noob, and on the rules and conventions of this forum (like SEARCH and READ before posting). Should i somehow fail to implement these lessons, which i probably will in some way, I ask you to point me in the right direction please... i am at your mercy
Finally, something about myself. I am a passionate but infrequent tripper. Mostly shrooms and sclerotia, but also acid, X, and 2CB. This summer salvia was new. On my todo list for the near future is making my own cactus powder from a Peruvian torch, have never done mescalin. And I will postpone DMT for a little longer...
Ok, that's it for my first post, I hope to see you more often from now on!
Love, Hanz

Welcome to the boards OP. Best of luck on improving your skills. Every second spent reading and studying makes for a better grower. Be safe and may the shroom gods be with you.

If you've done grow kits before, I would suggest skipping PF tek and go straight to rye spawned to a monotub. PF tek isn't much more than a grow kit really.

because the harvest is bigger, or the effort is less?
if my pf tek works (24 jars) i have more shrooms than i can eat until christmas, lol
(of course there will be another chapter after PF tek..)

Both really. Pretty much set it and forget it and you will get a way bigger harvest. It's not too late though- you can also spawn PF cakes to a monotub.

Research it. So much easier because you don't have to fan and mist and stuff.

Thank you all for the welcomes, keep them coming, they make me happy!
Also, I've researched some on the SGFC vs. monotub, and i think I'll start with the SGFC for now.
True, monotub may give more yield, but i like and understand the PF tek + SGFC better at this point. When it is time to do something new, i can always switch to monotub then.
And there is this other matter: I had my GF carry 100 liters (!) of perlite to the home... on a 1 hour bus ride moreover... so switching to a method that doesn't need any perlite could become a difficult topic.
When all is setup, and I'm inoculating, I'll send some pics.
Love, Hanz
