Cops - noise complaint?

I need some advice guys. I am being "harassed" by the police.
The other day I was in bed at my house. My friends showed up at my house in the middle of the night to say hello. My friends were playing music from their truck. I went out to say hello to them. The cops then arrived and asked for identification because of a possible noise complaint. When they asked for my identification, I shook my head no, walked into my house, and returned to my evening with my girl. Please note that I was not hosting a party.
Some days later, I received a fine for noise that was coming from a vehicle, which I did not own. This struck me as odd.
Can I fight this based on the fact that the vehicle was not mine?

I read your original thread and it sounds like you skimmed over some important details here.
Ask a lawyer instead of kids on the internet. They will not charge you for the consult. You won't need a lawyer for the appearance, but you still need a gameplan.

I am basing this information on the officers empirical write up on my ticket. Everything written in my post coincides with his write up.

Tell your dumb ass friends to turn their shit down when they come to your house.
Also find out what neighbor ratted on you and fertilize their garden with copious amounts of rock salt.
Also fight the ticket because it sounds like bullshit.

you sound like my neighbors next door. They always pull up blasting music and are like 16 year old pieces of shit. After a few months I finally saw cops at their place. My block used to be filled with cars and the parents let these kids do whatever. They even drove through our yard once. Glad they got fucked by the cops. No more parties but they still do dumb shit. Throw trash all over, openly made my area patrolled by cops, and are a nuisance.
If you got a complaint it's likely cause you were an idiot and walked inside. If you did nothing wrong why not show them your ID. This whole I have rights shit is stupid. you have to identify yourself because your stupid ass friend causes a noise complaint. Since it is your property it falls on you.

Yeah I was thinking of quoting that too. I mean who needs rights? It's not like I'm using them for anything...

Obviously taking out of context. I'm alluding to the whole "I have rights you don't need to see my ID when someone is involved in a crime/citation/questioning." Normal people who aren't doing anything illegal fork over their ID? Unless your some criminal with hundreds of warrants or haven't paid child support. It's immature and you wouldn't be in this situation.

He ommited quite a few details from his original thread.
OP, speak to a lawyer and just show up in court with a plan. Odds are the officer will fail to appear and the case will dismissed.

makes sense. I can also see myself doing the same thing OP did. I wouldn't think I was involved.

Good point. Something just didn't sound right about it in that original thread.
"They said they were responding to possible underagers drinking. I then walked into my house, locked my doors, turned off all the lights, and watched out my blinds. My friends stayed outside (there was a DD) and I heard the cops tell my friends that, since I was in my underwear, they were going to give me a fine in the mail for indecent exposure."

Of course they said that they were responding to noise and possible underagers. But the fact is that nobody was underage. They were trying to pin me with anything.
And one time, years back, they knocked on my door and told us they were the pizza man.
I was in my boxers because it was 1 in the morning.

Then you can expect trouble. It's obvious we aren't even getting the full story. Sounds like he was drinking underage and ran inside his house. Cops decided to throw a citation anyway they could. Won't fork over ID, drinking, well expect consequences. There's a point in time in life where you turn from a boy to a man and own up to ur shit

If my friends pulled up cranking music at one AM I would say hello to them with my fist.
