Slow colonization on first grow, not sure where I'm at!
    #22031040 - 08/01/15 10:35 PM (8 years, 5 months ago)

Hey there,

First of all I apologize because it must be frustrating to see all these newby posts on the daily. But I've been having an issue with incubation and colonization. I inoculated at least 2 weeks ago, and they have been in incubation at the correct temperature for this amount of time.

I do think I have used too much water in the jars, but they started to colonize regardless so I just let it grow. I just had a quick read and I saw that they may need a fresh air exchange, would this help?

The underside, this looks like the worst part of the jar.
Front of Jar
Back of Jar

So if anyone can give any advice on how to proceed I'll love you forever.

Thank you!

Just be patient, it will colonize at it's own pace. My last jars took roughly a month to fully colonize.

And opening the jars would be a very bad idea until they are fully colonized. You will just contaminate them by doing that.
