8/1/15
So I started my first mini mono (20 qt) a few weeks ago, and it just finished its first flush so I'm going to post some pics.
starting to harvest the first flush:

49 grams total from first flush:

taken just now- new pins!!

UPDATE 8/5/15:
2nd flush harvested this morning

I took tissue from two of the larger fruits and put it on agar (MEA) to try to get a good clone.

UPDATE 8/13/15
Well, the mono is just about done (there are still a couple of fruits from the last flush that haven't fully matured yet, nothing exciting) so I guess I'll wrap up this log now. My first mono has been an awesome experience, and I'm definitely going to use monos instead of BRF cakes from now on.
The clone (from the 2nd flush) that I'm working on is going well. I transferred a tiny piece of the best myc to a new plate three days ago and it has already grown out several millimeters. I'm keeping track of the areas that I like best with a sharpie.

Here's my favorite fruit from the final flush:

That's pretty much it. Thanks for checking it out

So I've got this cake that I really wanted to clone but it spent all of its nutrients before I got my agar. I'm thinking of dunking it and spawning it to a little tray of coir/Verm to see if I can get it to fruit again. if anyone sees this is love to hear your thoughts/suggestions

Uhh...you want to clone a cake? I wouldn't suggest cloning from anything after a 1st flush. It will take longer and not be as aggressive.

Just clone one of your fruits from your new tub. If that cake is spent, its probably not going to produce much of anything. If you can, just bury it outside and hope for the best. When I did pf cakes, I stopped at 2 flushes. I decided to experiment one time and see if I could push a 3rd flush just for shits n giggles. That thing turned a mean green on one side.

To anyone who has worked with agar: in your experience, how long does it take for the tissue to recover and start producing myc?

varies from culture to culture. but generally a wedge should start growing 1-3 days after the transfer.
